Our Projects

Kununurra Diversion Dam Travelling Gantry Crane

The replacement crane for the Kununurra Diversion Dam Wall was successfully design, manufactured and installed by Vector Lifting.
The crane, which straddles the Victoria Highway as it passes over the Diversion Dam Wall, was assembled in our laydown yard in Kununurra, then transported complete during the scheduled road closure.
Prior to installing the new crane, the original crane was transported off the dam wall by Vector Lifting and installed at the Swim Beach Park off Millington Drive as a monument.
Special thanks to Water Corporation’s Project Team lead by Michael Bunting, Michael Smith and Steve Dessent, and to Vulcan Engineering for the transport solution.

LOCOMOTIVE BOGIE ROTATOR
Vector Lifting is developing a new Locomotive Bogie Rotator for a valued client.   The Bogie Rotator combines a lifting jack with a powered rotator and is positioned either side of the lift road, allowing bogies to be lifted on the lateral axis and rotated.  This orientation allows for efficient engagement of a variety bogies and never obstructs the lift road for other rolling stock through traffic. The Bogie Rotator has a 20 tonne lift / rotate capacity, lift height of 3.4m and can rotate continuously in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. The Locomotive Bogie Rotator is due for delivery mid 2023.
